School History

The school opened on 24th February, 1972.  According to the first headteacher, Mr Taylor, who presented these photos to the school, there were just 6 members of staff and 60 pupils on roll.

As the number of pupils increased over the years, the school expanded to accommodate everyone. An annex was built in 1993 and as you can see several mobile classrooms were used on site.
